This stunning 6-bedroom, 2.5-bath home overlooks the picturesque Annisquam River and offers a unique blend of craftsmanship, comfort, and convenience. Located in a quiet neighborhood of Gloucester, Tidebend offers plenty of space for your family to enjoy this tranquil retreat. During the fall, guests can enjoy scenic drives, coastal walks, local events and festivals, fresh local seafood, charming shops, and the many seasonal activities throughout Gloucester and Cape Ann. Whether you're planning a family fall vacation, a weekend getaway with friends, or a peaceful autumn escape by the water, Tidebend provides the perfect home base for your Gloucester stay.

What does my rented vacation home provide?
Since all Atlantic Vacation Homes rental properties are residential homes, and not hotel rooms, they are all fully furnished and include a living room, kitchen, and bedrooms and bathrooms as described on each property detail page.
- The kitchen includes cooking utensils, pots & pans, dishcloths, potholders, flatware, dishware, glassware and a corkscrew. Standard appliances include a refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster, and coffee maker. Some properties are equipped with additional items; please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property. If you require specialty items, such as kitchen scales or food processors, it is best to bring your own.
- Bed linens and bath linens (bath towels, hand towels and face cloths) are provided in accordance with the advertised occupancy of the property. Beds will be made with linens, pillows, blankets, and bedspreads prior to your arrival, with the exception of trundles, top bunks, futons, and sleep sofas.
- The property includes basic housekeeping supplies, such as brooms and dustpans.
- Many (but not all) properties have a landline for local calls. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property.
- Air conditioning, beach towels, hot tubs, TVs, DVD players, porch furniture, grills, docks, recreational games and equipment, and other amenities are furnished as a courtesy by the homeowner and are not guaranteed. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property for details.
Guests will also receive a “Welcome Kit” that contains:
- An area guide
- One kitchen sponge
- One small bottle of dish soap
- One dishwasher detergent pod or packet
- One laundry detergent pod or packet
- One trash bag
In addition, the complimentary items below are provided as a convenient starter supply for when you first arrive. Additional items beyond the starter supply are the responsibility of the guest.

Our stay at Tidebend was perfect. We were in town for a family wedding and the house comfortably accommodated my husband and I, our adult children and our grandchildren. We enjoyed some down time and the beautiful view on the extra large porch. I appreciated the hosts check-ins and updates. It made our stay so easy. Highly recommend this property!

This is a beautiful and quiet home with all of the amenities. It was a huge space that was perfect for what I needed for my weekend stay. It is close enough to downtown Gloucester and the train to Boston. The only hiccup was not receiving the code prior to check-in, despite following the host’s instructions. It left my group stranded in the rain for an hour or two until we received the code. Other than that, a perfect home for large groups!

The Tidebend house was absolutely amazing. We had a wedding in Boston and hosted 10 family members from all over the U.S. Everyone enjoyed the stunning views and comfortable and quiet surroundings. There was plenty of space to spread out and the location was perfect. The house is very old, but well maintained and lots of amenities with an updated kitchen. The house also has quite a history. You must ask the host about the original owners from the 1800s. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a larger home to host a family or family reunion. We will be back!!

We were 10 from 3 families in town for Thanksgiving and Tidebend was perfect for hanging out, sleeping, cooking. Would Definitely Revisit
by DianeWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was charming and to know a little bit about the history of the cottage, made it that much more appealing. It can certainly accommodate quite a few people comfortably. The bed linens and towels were clean and fresh. Kitchen is well appointed. Local beaches close by as well as shops and restaurants. Would definitely go again.
