Welcome to The Spinnaker!
Located in Rockport village, The Spinnaker is the perfect rental home to feel worlds away from it all with a delightful garden oasis. Step out the front door and you are just a few blocks, easily walkable, from the village shops, galleries, restaurants, and beaches. With its close proximity to public transportation, it is an easy commute to Boston and Salem via train as well as by car.
Old World architecture meets modern living. This colonial home has been beautifully renovated preserving original details and updated with modern amenities. The house is filled with natural light and hardwood floors are throughout.
The main living level includes a spacious living room with original cabinetry, a new kitchen, dining room, an office/sitting room, the Primary bedroom, and full bath/laundry room. The upstairs has the two other bedrooms and the second full bath. One of the bedrooms has access to the walk-out deck offering stunning seasonal views of Rockport harbor. The house has central air to help cool you off on those warm summer days.
Enjoy the outdoors and summer breezes relaxing on the outdoor furniture in the backyard either on the small patio off of the dining room or grilling and dining on the large brick patio.
There is one off-street parking space in the driveway. Additional on-street parking is available on Mount Pleasant and neighboring streets.
Please note that the stairs to the second floor are original to the home's vintage construction and may be somewhat steep for very small children or those with mobility issues.
No pets. No smoking. No events or parties.
What does my rented vacation home provide?
Since all Atlantic Vacation Homes rental properties are residential homes, and not hotel rooms, they are all fully furnished and include a living room, kitchen, and bedrooms and bathrooms as described on each property detail page.
- The kitchen includes cooking utensils, pots & pans, dishcloths, potholders, flatware, dishware, glassware and a corkscrew. Standard appliances include a refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster, and coffee maker. Some properties are equipped with additional items; please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property. If you require specialty items, such as kitchen scales or food processors, it is best to bring your own.
- Bed linens and bath linens (bath towels, hand towels and face cloths) are provided in accordance with the advertised occupancy of the property. Beds will be made with linens, pillows, blankets, and bedspreads prior to your arrival, with the exception of trundles, top bunks, futons, and sleep sofas.
- The property includes basic housekeeping supplies, such as brooms and dustpans.
- Many (but not all) properties have a landline for local calls. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property.
- Air conditioning, beach towels, hot tubs, TVs, DVD players, porch furniture, grills, docks, recreational games and equipment, and other amenities are furnished as a courtesy by the homeowner and are not guaranteed. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property for details.
Guests will also receive a “Welcome Kit” that contains:
- An area guide
- One kitchen sponge
- One small bottle of dish soap
- One dishwasher detergent pod or packet
- One laundry detergent pod or packet
- One trash bag
In addition, the complimentary items below are provided as a convenient starter supply for when you first arrive. Additional items beyond the starter supply are the responsibility of the guest.
- One full roll of toilet paper per bathroom
- One box of tissues per bathroom
- Travel-sized bars of soap in each bathroom
- One full roll of paper towels in the kitchen

The first floor full bath has a tiled walk-in shower and built in laundry closet housing the washer and dryer. The bathroom is accessed by the Office.

Living Room
The living room showcases the original wainscoting detail with a comfortable sectional sofa and two additional chairs. and large flatscreen TV mounted over the mantle.
Dining Room
Just off of the living room is the dining room with a dining table that seats up to 6 people.
Kitchen
Adjacent to the dining room is the newly updated kitchen featuring steel appliances, and quartz counter tops.
Office
This room to the right of the main entrance has a loveseat and desk perfect for remote working, schooling, or just a quiet space for relaxing.

We especially enjoy the two outdoor seating areas! From the upstairs deck you can see the ocean! We would definitely stay again!!
A wonderful home in Rockport
by Nathan StantonWe had a wonderful time at the Spinnaker. It\'s a well appointed home in a great location. A short stroll into Rockport, but still quiet and peaceful. The folks at Atlantic Vacation Homes were wonderful to work with and always quick to respond with any questions we had. My only feedback is that the gps pin on the website is a slightly different location than the actual address which caused a little confusion.

Best of Both Worlds
by JennyThe Spinnaker is a charming historical home with lots of modern updates including central air conditioning and a well appointed kitchen. Our six family members were all very comfortable in the house and took advantage of the extras like the rooftop and backyard patios. Easy access to "downtown" Rockport was great. Be sure to check the calendar at the Shalin Liu theater during your stay. The cherry on top was walking access to Old Garden Beach, complete with furnished chairs and beach umbrella.
