Welcome to The Rockporter, a beautifully renovated waterfront retreat in the heart of Rockport’s historic Pigeon Cove. Just updated in 2025, this charming coastal home offers expansive views of Sandy Bay and Pigeon Cove Harbor from nearly every room, giving guests a genuine and peaceful Cape Ann experience.
The home comfortably sleeps 7 guests and now features brand-new updates throughout, including mini-split air conditioning units in every room for year-round comfort. The first floor includes a fully equipped kitchen, formal dining room, cozy living area with a wood-burning fireplace, a full bathroom, and a den with TV and sleeper sofa. Upstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms, an artist's studio with sleeper sofa, and a second full bath — all thoughtfully furnished and designed for relaxation. Much of the artwork and photography throughout the home was created by the property owner, adding a personal and authentic touch to the space.
Step outside to enjoy ocean breezes on the patio or head out your front door for incredible shoreline walks. With Halibut Point State Park and Rockport’s Back Beach just a mile in either direction, you’re perfectly situated to explore all that the area has to offer. Watch lobster boats in the working harbor, take in the historic setting, and unwind in the beauty of the North Shore.

What does my rented vacation home provide?
Since all Atlantic Vacation Homes rental properties are residential homes, and not hotel rooms, they are all fully furnished and include a living room, kitchen, and bedrooms and bathrooms as described on each property detail page.
- The kitchen includes cooking utensils, pots & pans, dishcloths, potholders, flatware, dishware, glassware and a corkscrew. Standard appliances include a refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster, and coffee maker. Some properties are equipped with additional items; please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property. If you require specialty items, such as kitchen scales or food processors, it is best to bring your own.
- Bed linens and bath linens (bath towels, hand towels and face cloths) are provided in accordance with the advertised occupancy of the property. Beds will be made with linens, pillows, blankets, and bedspreads prior to your arrival, with the exception of trundles, top bunks, futons, and sleep sofas.
- The property includes basic housekeeping supplies, such as brooms and dustpans.
- Many (but not all) properties have a landline for local calls. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property.
- Air conditioning, beach towels, hot tubs, TVs, DVD players, porch furniture, grills, docks, recreational games and equipment, and other amenities are furnished as a courtesy by the homeowner and are not guaranteed. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property for details.
Guests will also receive a “Welcome Kit” that contains:
- An area guide
- One kitchen sponge
- One small bottle of dish soap
- One dishwasher detergent pod or packet
- One laundry detergent pod or packet
- One trash bag
In addition, the complimentary items below are provided as a convenient starter supply for when you first arrive. Additional items beyond the starter supply are the responsibility of the guest.

Great Upgrades
by MargyThe last review by Peggy was in 2023 and much has been done to improve this rental. I feel the need to address that review. The kitchen and bathrooms are completely modernized - fabulous shower with great pressure and lots of hot water. New countertops, stove, etc. Lots of fresh paint and new furniture. Great beds. Comfortable. Quiet. Great view out back of home. New patio furniture, etc. New dishes, etc. New and high end shades on all the windows downstairs (I think adding them to first floor would be good). To respond to the negatives by Peggy - the floors are not even, but it is an old home with gorgeous old floors. My suggestion is to put some nice carpets down in spots to counter the \"speed bumps\" (which are really more like wavy areas). There are doors on all bedrooms but the landing is small so it is a little scary - suggest some removable gate to put there at night). It is an older home so the need for someone in one bedroom to walk through the other to get to the bathroom remains. Really nothing one can do to fix that. In short - the issues from 2 years ago have been addressed. A great spot in Rockport for your vacation. And Atlantic Homes is fabulous to deal with. Any issue was quickly addressed and they go above and beyond.
