Sunrise on the Cove

Exceptional panoramic views! Charming rental with lots of space both inside and out. Great backyard offers an oversized firepit and chairs, and small grassy area for games. Large dining room was great for both family dinners and games. We loved the decks to watch the sunrise. Only drawback was the very steep hill leading to backyard, and the mattresses could be updated. Great spot!

First, the EXQUISITE VIEW:from 2 balconies & lower level sitting area with plenty of chairs and tables ,from the Adirondack chairs around the firepitfrom the picnic table during meals. For the 3 and 5 year old grandchildren, the sand play was a hit. We would love to return in 2026. Suggestion to upgrade the bed mattresses to firmer support 🙂

Peaceful, quiet, beautiful! The house is comfortable and well appointed; the porch is spectacular! Love the porch furniture. Great location and not far from home. Would love to stay again. Highly recommend!

We have spent summer vacation in Rockport and Gloucester for more than 30 years. Sunrise on the Cove was by far the most scenic home rental, with spectacular sunrise and sunset views on Pigeon Cove. The 3 floors of beds provided wonderful living for our 3 generation family. The main floor shower was large and easy to use. The decks on the 3 floors (2 covered) were set up with great furniture so enjoy long conversations while viewing the cove, ocean, boats and birds. We appreciated the comfortable large dining room table and extensive dishes, glasses, and cutlery. We had sufficient pots and pans to prepare different types of meals. The 2-time weekly trash and recycling service worked well for us. Parking was more than sufficient. The outdoor grass area and plantings were maintained in an ongoing way while we were there. MSL and 3 generation family.

The view is wonderful. The house accomodated 3 generations comfortably...great layout.Everything was very clean. The beds were not comfortable....noisy, lumpy and old. 3rd floor bed felt like you were sleeping directly on the boxspring. would suggest new mattresses all around. The decks are lovely and you csn have shade or dun at any time!!We also find that a 4 pm check in is rather late. all rentals we have done have had check ins between 1 pm to 3 pm. overall it was great

My family stayed at Sunrise on the Cove and Sandy Bay Views. They are both beautiful, comfortable houses in the perfect locations. It was great that many of us were able to walk between the two houses, and into town. The view, especially from Sunrise on the Cove, is stunning. The person who helped us at Atlantic Vacation Homes is awesome; helpful, responsive, and patient with my many phone calls and questions. My family, all the people and all the dogs, had the best time! It was truly perfect! Thank you!!!

Wonderful house, appointed comfortably. Plenty of dishes, silverware, and good quality cooking pans and utensils and a great grill. Views are just amazing and location is convenient. We had 3 generations and all were happy!

Family came together to bring my fiances dad to Rockport. His father has been going for years and for the past 20 years it has been a tradition for my family and fiance to go yearly. SunRise on the Cove was perfect for all of us. We had our 1 year old, fiance, me and our 15 year old in the garden suite. Brother in law , his fiance , their 16 year old and 7 year old on the top floor. Our oldest daughter (24) and her fiance and both my fiance parents on the main floor. There was a fire pit, beautiful view of the water and it was clean. Loved it. Unfortunately it rained most of our stay or it was too windy to sit outside and have a fire but we will definitely consider booking again in the summer. I did not contact the property manager. We didn't have a reason to.

Wonderful location with gorgeous views, and somehow plenty of room for all of us (3 teens, 5 adults). The view was gorgeous whether it was sunny or rainy. Sometimes rentals can have cheap, uncomfy seating or beds but we all found everything super comfy and seating on the porch was great. Close to town but also felt like a great getaway from everything. Everyone loved it. Only thing - the management left us 2 dishwasher pods for 4 nights, and also required all dishes be cleaned and put away before leaving (am used to rentals saying just load the dw, start it and go). Without enough pods, and with a large group, it caused a bit of an annoying epic by-hand cleaning effort as we were trying to clear out. Otherwise perfect beautiful wonderful stay, and we all want to come back!

This is our second stay, as a three-generation family, at Sunrise on the Cove. We all love this place. The view of the historic, working harbor at Pigeon Cove, the southern shoreline of the Town of Rockport and the ocean beyond is unmatched! Sleeping and bathroom arrangements were very convenient for the 8 of us. The kitchen was very well equipped, including a blender that was not on the listing of accessories. The large dining room table easily accommodated all of us for meals and for our family\'s commitment to playing board games together. There was wood (but not kindling - get it free or cheap at Smith Ace Hardware in town) sufficient for one fire in the firepit. We\'d recommend that AVH invest in higher quality toilet paper and paper towels and that for longer stays (we were there for 7 nights) AVH provide additional hand soap (and soap dishes so that soap and water don\'t spread onto the floor), dishwasher detergent and laundry detergents so that guests do not need to bring these items from home or purchase them locally after arrival. We brought our own storage baggies and garbage bags as they were not provided. We also note that the screen on the lowest level was very difficult to open. And we recommend that the owner invest in a better quality (and quieter!) mattress in the oceanside bedroom on the main floor.

The location of this home was fantastic. We were visiting relatives nearby. Great layout for our entire family to be able to visit at one time. A shower on the 3rd level would be nice but we made it work. We had a 3 month old and a 2 year old and space for them and their parents was great. We loved coffee and drinks overlooking the water from the chairs by the fire pit and the balconies. Would suggest investing in black out curtains for main floor waterfront bedroom. 5 am sunrise was a bit early for us. Will definitely return.

Even the great pictures provided on the web site still don't do the views justice. The house is lovely and very comfortable inside with just amazing water views from three of the bedrooms. The views from the deck are even better. The house was comfortable and well maintained. We enjoyed the walk to town and exploring nearby.

The house was just as advertised with cozy spaces and outstanding views from everywhere inside and outside the house. It appeared the house was recently remodeled as everything seemed new. The third floor bedroom having only a half bath was unusual but we just doubled up on the main level bath which, like the lower level bath, was beautiful and ample in size. Everything worked from the coffee pot to the grill to the ac units. We were provided with two bundles of firewood for the fire pit which was sufficient for two nice evenings outside. They have really maximized the use of the space in this lovely house. Overall very nice and good value.

This was our first visit to this property and plan to return the same time next year. Five adults and a 2 year old granddaughter had plenty of space and privacy. The rear of the house has three different deck levels which makes for great viewing of the harbor and north shore seacoast. Two of the decks are shaded, the top deck is not. After 11am the middle and lower decks are in the shade. With the sun rising in the east you may want to have eye masks for the 6am gorgeous rush of sunlight into your bedroom.

Sunrise on the Cove was a cute cottage with spectacular views of the Cove, the ocean and the Lighthouse. Only recommendation is for firmer mattresses... This year we were able to see more Family/Friends and went to more restaurants, several times... Seaport, The Village and the Boathouse. All had excellent food. Hope to return next year! Thank you for a another great and memorable vacation!

Beautiful home on the cove. Excellent fire pit, views, close to restaurants, shops, and Halibut Point.
