Seaside House
Location, location, location! This vacation home is large and comfortable and is just steps to the white sands and surf of Good Harbor Beach. The location offers the best of all worlds as it is so close to Cape Ann's most popular beach and also has water views of Bass Rocks. This dramatic rocky bit of coastline is a destination for those looking for views of the Atlantic at its most intense. The popular "Back Shore" walk is one of the most scenic walks on the eastern seaboard and the sidewalk begins in front of Seaside House and continues for 1.5 miles one way (or 3 miles round trip back to the house).
The front of the house has a full-length porch from which you can view the sea in comfortable shade and enjoy a beverage or meal in the fresh ocean breezes. From the porch, enter into the air-conditioned main level living room with a flat screen TV and plenty of seating. The adjoining den has a pullout sofa, a TV, and games, which makes the room serve double-duty as a kid (or adult) getaway or semi-private additional sleeping space. The recently renovated granite kitchen is eat-in and fully applianced. The butler's pantry offers more storage and prep space in addition to a half bath.
Upstairs are 4 bedrooms (3 of which are air conditioned, including the primary bedroom) and two more full baths. The primary bath offers an oversized jetted tub, double sinks and a separate glass-enclosed shower and the hall bath also has a full-size jetted tub with a shower. The house will comfortably sleep 10 with enough room for your family and the folks that will want to visit you in this wonderful beach house. Leave your car in the driveway (and avoid the beach parking fees) and walk to Good Harbor Beach.
The house has two other occupied units with separate entrances and parking.
2,500 SF. No pets. No smoking. No events or parties.
What's Included in Your Stay
Every Atlantic Vacation Homes rental is a fully furnished home with a kitchen, living space, bedrooms, and bathrooms as shown on the listing. Because each home is unique, amenities and supplies vary by home and may change with the season. Your home's listing page has the details.
Household Supplies
Each home is equipped with an initial supply of essentials for your arrival including:
- Dish soap and a kitchen sponge
- Dishwasher detergent, plus laundry detergent in homes with a washer
- Trash bags
- Coffee and basic pantry items, such as salt and pepper
- Paper towels
For longer stays, you may need to pick up more along the way.
Bedrooms & Linens
- Fresh linens are provided based on the home's advertised occupancy.
- All bedding, including blankets and comforters, is professionally laundered between each guest stay.
- Standard beds are made before arrival.
- Trundles, top bunks, futons, and sleeper sofas include linens but are not made in advance.
Kitchen
Kitchens include a refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, cookware, utensils, dishes, glassware, and basic dining essentials. Most homes also have a microwave, and many include a toaster or other small appliances.
Bathrooms
Full bathrooms include bath and hand towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toilet paper. Half bathrooms include hand soap and toilet paper.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is provided in every home.
Amenities
Amenities vary by home and are listed on each home's listing page. These may include laundry, irons, hair dryers, air conditioning, grills, beach towels and chairs, TVs, hot tubs, outdoor furniture, docks, and recreational equipment.
Housekeeping
Each home has a vacuum and basic cleaning supplies. Mid-stay cleanings are available on request for an additional fee.
Optional Add-Ons
Depending on the home and season, additional services may be available, including grocery delivery, scooter rentals, kayak and paddleboard rentals, and other local experiences.

Before you arrive, we'll send you everything you need to know about your home and the area, including check-in instructions, Wi-Fi details, house information, and local recommendations. You'll have access to it throughout your stay.
Easy Checkout
No need to strip the beds. Before you leave, just:

Seaside House: Amazing as Usual
by Steve GastThis is our family’s Christmas in July getaway. Lost count of how many years we’ve been coming…..at least 12-13. Perfect location for accessing Good Harbor, Atlantic Ave, Downtown Gloucester and Rockport. The front porch is the star attraction of the home…..spectacular ocean view. The owners, Erin & Tony, are perfect hosts. As soon as the 2026 booking calendar is available we’ll lock down another July trip. The folks at AVH are on top of their game, too.
