This updated and well-cared for Victorian home with its captivating ocean views, sits high on two private acres at the end of a secluded lane. The handsome wrap-around porch provides a relaxing spot to enjoy mature manicured gardens, the iconic twin lighthouse towers on Thacher Island, scenic Loblolly Cove and the ocean beyond.

The spacious eat-in kitchen is the perfect gathering area where the designated cook(s) can prepare delicious meals and never lose sight of the ocean. A spacious living room adjoins the large dining room with its generous table and seating for 10. Upstairs, you will find plenty of bedrooms for all the family.

After a day at the beach, you can enjoy the outdoor shower to clean off the sand. The spacious backyard allows plenty of room for lawn games, outdoor family activities and fun. Walk down to Loblolly Cove where you can put in your kayak or stand up paddleboard or swim at two sandy beaches just a half-mile away.

The village of Rockport is just 1 1/2 miles away with its art galleries, antique stores, gift shops, restaurants, a movie theater and the famed Shalin Liu performing arts center. Other enticing attractions include the many granite quarries, Halibut Point State Park, footpaths leading to the ocean and the beautiful rocky coastline.

ALSO AVAILABLE AS A WINTER RENTAL. The winter rental excludes the third floor and so the home has five bedrooms rather than seven. Two bedrooms available in the winter have queen size beds, two bedrooms have full size beds, and the last bedroom has two twin beds.

No pets. No smoking. No events or parties.

What does my rented vacation home provide?


Since all Atlantic Vacation Homes rental properties are residential homes, and not hotel rooms, they are all fully furnished and include a living room, kitchen, and bedrooms and bathrooms as described on each property detail page.


  • The kitchen includes cooking utensils, pots & pans, dishcloths, potholders, flatware, dishware, glassware and a corkscrew. Standard appliances include a refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster, and coffee maker. Some properties are equipped with additional items; please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property. If you require specialty items, such as kitchen scales or food processors, it is best to bring your own.

  • Bed linens and bath linens (bath towels, hand towels and face cloths) are provided in accordance with the advertised occupancy of the property. Beds will be made with linens, pillows, blankets, and bedspreads prior to your arrival, with the exception of trundles, top bunks, futons, and sleep sofas.

  • The property includes basic housekeeping supplies, such as brooms and dustpans.

  • Many (but not all) properties have a landline for local calls. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property.

  • Air conditioning, beach towels, hot tubs, TVs, DVD players, porch furniture, grills, docks, recreational games and equipment, and other amenities are furnished as a courtesy by the homeowner and are not guaranteed. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property for details.

Guests will also receive a “Welcome Kit” that contains:


  • An area guide

  • One kitchen sponge

  • One small bottle of dish soap

  • One dishwasher detergent pod or packet

  • One laundry detergent pod or packet

  • One trash bag

In addition, the complimentary items below are provided as a convenient starter supply for when you first arrive. Additional items beyond the starter supply are the responsibility of the guest.

  • One box of tissues per bathroom

  • Travel-sized bars of soap in each bathroom

  • One full roll of paper towels in the kitchen

Great spot for our family

We loved Seacroft and our time in Rockport and Gloucester. The views from the porch are even more striking than the photos, particularly at sunrise. The house is comfortable and everyone commented on how much fun the house was. It's also in a great location to get around the surrounding area. We visited the coast from Ipswich to Gloucester and even caught the train to Boston one afternoon. There is a footpath to overlook the ocean but not really a walkable swimming beach. We just drove a few minutes to beaches in the area. It works out since there is ice cream, conveniently, on the way home. Highly, highly recommend.

Seacroft

Overall our family, especially our kids, had a good time at Seacroft. Our little kids loved exploring its various nooks and crannies as well as the abundant outdoor space. Location is good too with an easy walk down to Loblolly Cove and even Pebble Beach. Our biggest gripe was that the property and its contents are dated. The beds were comfortable but mattresses could use some flipping.

Seacroft 2018

We stayed for one week. There were 13 of us. There was plenty of room, the kitchen was adequately equipped, the view was spectacular, and we had some lovely evenings on the porch. When we called AVH with questions they were answered promptly. This place is a jewel, and we'd recommend it without hesitation.

A story book house!

We really enjoyed Seacroft. The children thought that the house was magical - straight out of a story book. The house is old and quirky but has a great deal of character. A great view from the veranda over Thatcher Island. Also plenty of outdoor space for the kids to play.
