Experience river life at its best along the banks of Mill River when you stay at this spectacular waterfront rental home with exquisite water views, a large back yard, and a private tidal dock for swimming and kayaking. River Watch is a charming antique home sun-filled with natural light, and beautiful hardwood floors throughout. From the front door, enter the main living level that includes a large living room, a contemporary kitchen, a dining room, and a den with a glass sliding door accessing the back deck. The three bedrooms, a sitting room, and a full bath make up the third floor.
Enjoy the river views sitting on the back deck and or lounging in the back yard on the outdoor furniture. There is a gas grill to barbecue your favorite dish. You are welcome to bring a non-motorized watercraft to launch from the beach or dock.
Situated in Gloucester's Riverdale neighborhood, the location is ideal to explore the villages of Annisquam and Lanesville. It's a short drive to Downtown Gloucester and Rockport and Good Harbor Beach. Travel to Boston, Salem, and Beverly is easy with the close proximity to Route 128 and the commuter rail for day trips.

What does my rented vacation home provide?
Since all Atlantic Vacation Homes rental properties are residential homes, and not hotel rooms, they are all fully furnished and include a living room, kitchen, and bedrooms and bathrooms as described on each property detail page.
- The kitchen includes cooking utensils, pots & pans, dishcloths, potholders, flatware, dishware, glassware and a corkscrew. Standard appliances include a refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster, and coffee maker. Some properties are equipped with additional items; please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property. If you require specialty items, such as kitchen scales or food processors, it is best to bring your own.
- Bed linens and bath linens (bath towels, hand towels and face cloths) are provided in accordance with the advertised occupancy of the property. Beds will be made with linens, pillows, blankets, and bedspreads prior to your arrival, with the exception of trundles, top bunks, futons, and sleep sofas.
- The property includes basic housekeeping supplies, such as brooms and dustpans.
- Many (but not all) properties have a landline for local calls. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property.
- Air conditioning, beach towels, hot tubs, TVs, DVD players, porch furniture, grills, docks, recreational games and equipment, and other amenities are furnished as a courtesy by the homeowner and are not guaranteed. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property for details.
Guests will also receive a “Welcome Kit” that contains:
- An area guide
- One kitchen sponge
- One small bottle of dish soap
- One dishwasher detergent pod or packet
- One laundry detergent pod or packet
- One trash bag
In addition, the complimentary items below are provided as a convenient starter supply for when you first arrive. Additional items beyond the starter supply are the responsibility of the guest.

From the Living Room, enter the dining area with a table that comfortably seats up to 6 people.
Kitchen
The well-applianced Kitchen features a gas stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, beautiful cabinetry, plenty of storage and counter space. Please note that the second set of stairs to the second floor are original to the home's vintage construction and may be somewhat steep for very small children or those with mobility issues.
Laundry
Just off of the Kitchen is the laundry room with a standard size washer and dryer
Den
Catch the water views through the sliding glass doors any time of day while relaxing on the futon. The sliders access the back deck.
Sitting Room
1 Twin/Single
This corner room is perfect for a quiet repose or a sunny place to read a book or simply relax in the sunshine. The chaise can also become a single bed.

This home was in a beautiful location and easy to get to lots of wonderful area attractions! Beautiful views from windows and deck. The kitchen and bathrooms were pristine. Stairway up from the kitchen to second floor is not for people with impaired mobility.
