Enjoy beautiful views of Sandy Bay and the Atlantic from this classic New England vacation rental home on Rockport's Pigeon Hill. Landmark Lookout offers privacy and quiet and fulfills a nature lover's dreams while being just a 10-15 minute stroll into town and to the beaches.

Perched halfway up a hill, our vacation rental is beautifully decorated with coastal hues and tones, and filled with natural light. From the front entrance, step into the bright sunroom then through the French doors into the open plan living/dining/kitchen area. There are two bedrooms, a sitting room, and a full bath on the main living level. Upstairs are two bedrooms, a full bath, and laundry room.

The large outdoor brick patio is enclosed. Enjoy the serene garden, summer breezes and summer sun while dining or relaxing on the outdoor furniture.

A swimming quarry is just a few minutes away from the Landmark Lookout. Follow the many well-traveled paths through the nearby woods where you are sure to come across other glittering stone quarries, now filled with fresh water, perfect for summer dips. Take another path to find yourself at a children's playground with adjacent public tennis courts. Discover the local beaches and the village of Rockport filled with restaurants, shops, galleries, a performance art center, and the commuter train into Boston. Your summer adventure awaits!

What does my rented vacation home provide?


Since all Atlantic Vacation Homes rental properties are residential homes, and not hotel rooms, they are all fully furnished and include a living room, kitchen, and bedrooms and bathrooms as described on each property detail page.


  • The kitchen includes cooking utensils, pots & pans, dishcloths, potholders, flatware, dishware, glassware and a corkscrew. Standard appliances include a refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster, and coffee maker. Some properties are equipped with additional items; please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property. If you require specialty items, such as kitchen scales or food processors, it is best to bring your own.

  • Bed linens and bath linens (bath towels, hand towels and face cloths) are provided in accordance with the advertised occupancy of the property. Beds will be made with linens, pillows, blankets, and bedspreads prior to your arrival, with the exception of trundles, top bunks, futons, and sleep sofas.

  • The property includes basic housekeeping supplies, such as brooms and dustpans.

  • Many (but not all) properties have a landline for local calls. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property.

  • Air conditioning, beach towels, hot tubs, TVs, DVD players, porch furniture, grills, docks, recreational games and equipment, and other amenities are furnished as a courtesy by the homeowner and are not guaranteed. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property for details.

Guests will also receive a “Welcome Kit” that contains:

To the right of the entrance is the dining area with a large table with 8 chairs and a view toward the harbor. The kitchen is well-equipped with appliances, beautiful honey-colored cabinetry, granite counter tops, and a center island that functions as a breakfast bar and additional food prep space.

This room has the washer and dryer, and a table for laundry prep or folding.

Perfect house for a a small group

We had 4-6 people staying for a long weekend wedding. The property is great. Clean, reasonably stocked, great, quiet location, modern ammenities and so close to town. Great stay. We would definitely return.

Wonderful stay

This home is beautiful and perfect size for our family of 7. One was a one year old. Plenty of room for her to play. Views of ocean from bedroom windows. Great location. We walked to the beach and into the town of Rockport. Also took many walks along the rocky shore. Atlantic Vacation Homes very responsive and easy check in and check out. Would stay there again.

Beautiful, clean, spacious, solid home. Tons of beds. Great walking trails to quarries. View from upper level. Too bad they planted bamboo next door that hides the downstair’s view. Love the starter packages throughout the house…soaps, bags, shampoos. Stayed in a rental before that was not even a 1 star, so I was very excited to walk into this home….LOVELY!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was above average in our estimation, our. only issue was separating recycles and garbage and putting it in the Shed we didn't know which containers to use or not use and if your recycles should be in bags or not.

The house was lovely and as advertised. It was spacious and clean and accommodated our large family of 7 easily. We had lovely walks in the beautiful neighborhood and found the swimming hole nearby. We also enjoyed walking to the beach (about 10-15 minutes). There were enough towels and sheets and blankets, which was excellent! We did not do a lot of cooking but found the kitchen to have enough supplies for everything we did need. We would definitely recommend this house without hesitation!

Landmark Lookout was perfect for our family's holiday celebration. The kitchen was quite large and included everything we needed to cook multiple meals. The location was quiet and peaceful and we felt like we had the whole street to ourselves. To top it all off, the views were amazing and the shore was a short walk away.

Wonderful vacation spot!

Clean, nice home. We loved the bedroom arrangements. Perfect for the whole family. Great appliances. Loved the Weber grill! WiFi didn’t work in the area behind the kitchen. Patio is so nice but it needs some more furniture. It would be outstanding with a trellis overhead. We also wished the bamboo could be cut back for a better view of the ocean. But saying all this, we can’t wait to sign up for next summer. Best house we have ever vacationed in!!

Great House! Great Location!

The house was exactly what we were looking for. It was charming, clean, had a great location, nice views, quiet location. We were very happy staying there and hope to stay there again should we come back to Rockport. The only problem we had was the wifi. Although it was fixed soon after we placed a call, the wifi continued to not work in the evening. Unfortunately, we were not able to watch tv or use our electronics at night. Other than that, it was a great place to stay for the week.

Landmark review

The house was perfect for our family reunion! It was immaculate! The bedrooms were great - we loved having queen beds in all the rooms! We had a problem with the furnace but the problem was taken care of in a quick manner. The only thing I would say is that the closets should all have hangers. The back first floor bedroom would benefit from either shelves in part of the closet or a small dresser in the closet. Additionally, we rented a house so we could have a kitchen. For the price we are paying it really should be better equipped - ie, nicer pans, cooking utensils, salad bowls, etc. Flatware, plates, and glasses were great. Overall, a wonderful home, great response from Atlantic Rental Co. We would definitely refer.

Great spot

We were a family of three (child under two) with three grandparents in tow. The house worked really well for us. The location was convenient for quick drives to the beach and the layout let us each have space. The neighborhood was quirky yet quiet. The only thing that could be improved was the beds- they were all extremely firm.

Lovely Vacation Home

9 Landmark Lane was a lovely house and in a great location of Rockport. The house was clean and the decor and furnishings were beautiful. The addition of AC in all the rooms was a plus. And the views from all of the rooms was magnificient - to wake up and see the sunrise was truly breathtaking. There were only a few slight issues - and funny, a few of them were already listed by a previous reviewer. First, there were not enough cooking / kitchen items. It lacked basics like a big serving bowl, ladels, lobster crackers, colanders. Second, it would have been nice to have a BBQ in the back yard area to be able to cook outside. Third, the couch, although beautiful, was just awkward to sit on - it was slippery due to the material. Fourth, when we booked the property in February, the listing noted 3 bathrooms. Upon arrival, there were only two, which was a problem as we had 3 families. So the property description from booking was not as described, which is clearly unacceptable, especially without advising us about the change before arrival. Lastly, there were so many bugs in the house - mainly spiders and beetles - I think this was due to the window air conditioners, as this seemed to be where they were coming in. There were so many spiders in the downstairs bathroom on the ceiling that we had to get the vacuum to remove them. But the house is very comfortable, clean and in a perfect location. Even with the slight issues we had, we enjoyed our stay at 9 Landmark Lane.

Great family getaway

This house is very well located for lots of fun things to do! We had a great time going to local beaches, the quarry, and Halibut point. We could walk to the beaches in Rockport and the cute downtown area. Downsides: There are only 2 bathrooms (was originally listed as 3!) The living room couch is really oddly hard to sit on! The cushions are so puffy and slippery. The kitchen lacked basics for longer term cooking (collander, mixing bowl, microwaveable bowls/plates, coffee maker (though we bought one and left it there). There were lots of wifi issues when we arrived but the property management company took care of it right away, so that was excellent! Overall a great house and a great stay, but it would be even better with a few kitchen additions and a better couch!

Lovely home private area

This house was super clean loved the floors furniture and the “hidden” location of the house. The water views in almost every bedroom were a plus! Was super close to downtown Rockport and the home was very comfortable to stay in. Thank you, my family and I enjoyed our stay very much!
