Lady Bug House

This year was my second visit to The Lady Bug House. I enjoyed it just as much as last year and plan to go again next year! House is very convenient to get to beach or Bearskin Neck. Can\'t wait to go back.

The house was super cute. It was very cozy for two adults or a small family. The house was very neat, clean, and well-appointed. Everything you need was provided. The location was superb as downtown is only a 5-minute walk as is the ocean. Off-street parking for two cars is a plus. We needed both the heat and A/C which both worked perfectly. We will definitely be back.

I really enjoyed my stay! The house was the perfect size and well equipped for my stay. The location of the house was perfect as well-so easy to walk to town, beach or Headlands. I have been going to Rockport for many years and this was one of my favorite rentals. I also want to give a shout out to Roy Moore's Lobster. The food is delicious and the staff is great. I recommend this property highly, just don't book the weeks I want to go back!!

We loved Rockport and staying at the Lady Bug House. There are so many great things about the town and house that I couldn't possibly list them all. If I had to pick the best thing about each, I would pick the lovely front garden area of the cottage. Our kids loved playing outside and it is set back off the road so you don\'t feel nervous at all. The best thing about Rockport was the Saturday morning Farmers Market which was amazing to pick up some local foods, wine, soap, and even some live music. All of the food we had was good and most is walkable from the cottage. We have only two areas for future improvement for this rental: 1. The bedrooms have light filtering shades only. We stayed in late June and the sun started rising at 4:50 AM. The entire rooms were entirely lit by 5 AM. They need some type of window treatments to help get kids (and adults) a few extra minutes of sleep. 2. The listing says \"Cable Television\" and we could not find any cable channels (or even a remote) for the small TV provided. Traveling with two young kids we weren\'t planning to watch much TV, but a 30 minute show in the morning or before bed would have been nice for them. There was no way to do this with the TV provided. Luckily the Wi-Fi was decent and we had an iPad along. Neither one of these things would prevent me from booking again, but I would love to see it improved for ourselves and other visiting families.

This Cottage was well designed, very clean, and on a quiet one way street, less than 1/2 mile from Bearskin neck in Rockport. The house is as pictured and set back from the street, with gardens in front..

The house is charming! Lots of light and comfort. The location is so convenient to the Rockport waterfront, shops, restaurants and beaches. We loved to sit on the front patio and enjoy the beautiful garden. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds comfortable and the house was very clean. The one small drawback was the TV. It was a smart TV without local, live network stations. But, that was minor.

weather was great House was clean and well furnished w/towels.sheets.pots/pans,utensils We were not able to get the BBQ Grill to work.a fellow came and he said they would return with a full tank of gas but y then it was time to go home and we do not know if he came with new gas we could not get the thing to turn on for gas And we had a couple of bad days with TV but fellow came and showed my daughter how to re boot if it happened again.. This i8s the second year we have stayed there and wish to go back again nex year if all goes well The only reeommendation we would like to see a screen door at least out to the front seating/eating area Feel with glass door closed we are shut in and air circulation is not the best just through the windows hope you all fared well in the storm how lucky we were to be there the week we picked thanks

Wonderful. Even better than last summer. The house is so comfortable and has everything people need for a good vacation. We will be coming back in 2022 for another week we loved it there so much. It was a very positive experience. One plus was the location, close to town and close to the beach and everything else.

Great location! Only .5 miles from here to the tip of Bearskin Neck and also to Front Beach. House was perfect for my family. Clean & cozy. Only one AC, but it kept the house comfortable. There was artwork inside from local artists (different from the pictures online) which we enjoyed and we bought a matching smaller print to remember our trip. There is a hose outside which was perfect for washing the sand off our beach stuff. The kids loved looking at the butterflies and bees in the garden, and they even found a snail. They loved the bedroom with the twin beds. We received a bag from the rental company with dish soap for hand washing dishes, a new sponge, and laundry soap. I wish they had included dishwasher soap as well. There were some coffee filters in the cabinet to use for the coffee maker. We loved getting breakfast at Helmut's Strudel and eating at Roy Moore's Fish Shack (awesome warm lobster rolls). We enjoyed our stay, and I highly recommend the Ladybug House.

I was not sure of the house, since I had not seen it before renting but it was a charm. Everything was A 1 in terms of amenities and the owner thought of everything. It was comfortable and very private. I liked that it was so close to Old Garden Beach. I felt like the home was mine. My only criticism was not ONE window air conditioner was not enough to keep the house cool. We had it running 24/7 at 60 degrees to try to get some relief. Maybe the house needs ceiling fans, esp. downstairs or portable fans or another air conditioner. Of course, there is always central. So as a result of a wonderful stay, I have booked for 2 weeks next August. It is worth every penny to be able to go back and enjoy the house and Rockport which is my first love.

We had a lovely stay at the ladybug house. In total we were 4 adults and we all slept comfortably in the two bedrooms. We really enjoyed dining and sipping our morning coffees on the patio with views of the Ladybug House’s beautiful garden. The kitchen and living room are open to one another, so we were all able to spend time together even while some of us were cooking. Our favorite part about the house was it’s location: in one direction you can easily walk to bearskin neck and in the other direction you can walk just a few minutes to access Old Garden Beach.

This was my first experience in renting a house for my family vacation. Due to the pandemic, we wanted to vacation but not have many worries of overcrowded hotels. Without a doubt, the Ladybug house offers location, a charming neighborhood, perfect cottage like stay and every amenity you can chose from there. The home is beautiful! Perfect for couples, a small family or an individual stay. We had every meal out on the front patio which offers views of perennial garden. The kids loved the room with twin beds and a beautiful breeze came through the house each night. In short, this home gave us many great vacation memories and thank you AVH for the welcome bag. We are planning our next stay and would choose the home again in a second.
