Gloucester's 'Fishtown Horribles Parade' is an old-time Gloucester tradition in which participants dress up in costumes to celebrate Independence Day. The parade also includes bands, floats, politicians, businesses and fire engines. Note that in Gloucester, the July 4th celebrations traditionally take place on July 3rd.
It starts at the Gloucester High School and covering the waterfront boulevard thru downtown toward Washington Street and back to the High School.
A free concert begins at 5pm by Stacy Boulevard, breaks for the Parade and the fireworks, and then continues after the fireworks until 11pm. At Western Ave. and Centennial Ave.
