Almost thirty-five years ago, Carole owned an antiques shop in the Lanesville neighborhood of Gloucester and sometimes visitors would stop in for a chat and ask if she knew of any summer homes for rent in the area. Usually, she did. And from there she built a fledgling small business called Atlantic Vacation Homes.
