This year, there is more reason than ever to celebrate. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the travel and tourism industry was a significant contributor to the U.S. economy and supported millions of hard-working Americans of all backgrounds. The industry as a whole had experienced 107 straight months of growth, generated $2.6 trillion in economic output, supported 17 million American jobs, and delivered a $51 billion trade surplus to the U.S. Unfortunately, that strong growth trend was greatly disrupted last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Cape Ann—and the travel industry—is resilient!
