Tucked away on a quiet side street in quaint Rockport, Four Winds is a beautifully renovated home originally built in the 1830s, blending historical details and contemporary decor. The large backyard and stone patio provide a quiet and private respite after a day at the beach or sightseeing. Ideally situated, this 3-bedroom vacation rental is a short stroll to Rockport village with its many shops, restaurants, galleries, beaches, and parks.

Enter the house through the side main entrance into the kitchen with a pantry, and a laundry closet. This main living level has a dining room with a beautiful built-in cabinet, a large, sunny living room with a large flatscreen TV and office nook, half bath, and a den with a sleeper sofa and French doors opening up to the back patio with outdoor furniture and a gas grill. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a full bath.

Nearby is the town of Gloucester, where guests can enjoy more beaches, whale watches, and the bustling downtown area. There is also nearby access to the commuter rail where can guests can take a short ride and enjoy both Boston and Salem.

There is off-street parking for 3 cars.

What does my rented vacation home provide?


Since all Atlantic Vacation Homes rental properties are residential homes, and not hotel rooms, they are all fully furnished and include a living room, kitchen, and bedrooms and bathrooms as described on each property detail page.


  • The kitchen includes cooking utensils, pots & pans, dishcloths, potholders, flatware, dishware, glassware and a corkscrew. Standard appliances include a refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster, and coffee maker. Some properties are equipped with additional items; please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property. If you require specialty items, such as kitchen scales or food processors, it is best to bring your own.

  • Bed linens and bath linens (bath towels, hand towels and face cloths) are provided in accordance with the advertised occupancy of the property. Beds will be made with linens, pillows, blankets, and bedspreads prior to your arrival, with the exception of trundles, top bunks, futons, and sleep sofas.

  • The property includes basic housekeeping supplies, such as brooms and dustpans.

  • Many (but not all) properties have a landline for local calls. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property.

  • Air conditioning, beach towels, hot tubs, TVs, DVD players, porch furniture, grills, docks, recreational games and equipment, and other amenities are furnished as a courtesy by the homeowner and are not guaranteed. Please refer to the full amenity list for your specific property for details.

Guests will also receive a “Welcome Kit” that contains:

Excellent stay

My son and I really enjoyed the Four Winds rental. We both like quiet set ups and it was just that. The property is very nice as well, couldn't ask for a better rental.

Nice house with great location but low ceilings

This house was comfortable and very clean and in a great location for exploring the town. The kitchen was well appointed and the management company was very responsive to any issues. If I were to offer any suggestion, it would be to inform guests that the ceilings are about 6' on the second floor. It also might be nice to have more more natural feeling cotton sheets. The ones provided did not breathe.

Great Place

This place was great, will definitely come back. House has a huge backyard with grill. There is a large capacity washer and dryer and has all the basic kitchen items. Nice and quiet neighborhood and near main street and beaches.

we enjoy Rockport, and come for the music festival. Had a great time! The home was fine, well-equipped, and very well located.

We stayed almost a week in early August. If it’s warm, you’ll be glad to have the window AC units. The home is historic or antique so it’s true to the character of the area. Downtown and it’s quaint shops are about a ten minute leisurely walk away.

July 4th getaway

This 1834 home has been nicely renovated with modern bathrooms and amenities. It is located on a quiet side street in a quaint neighborhood. We did not experience great weather during our stay. However; we still had fun and enjoyed walking into town. It is only about a ten minute walk to shops and restaurants.
