A magical weekend w our close family! Thirteen people ages 6 to 72 years old.
Myself, the official “Mimi” planned the trip; reserving Cedar Ledge in February. The home is a delightful mix of cozy, warm and very roomy! All six bedrooms are very large, all w bureaus, mirrors and a nice selection of beds. Views are just breath-taking. The kitchen is stocked w many dishes, glassware and cooking items. Living room is large, with much seating and a gas stove. The porch is incredible! It wraps around and is so large! It is filled w wicker furniture, as well as a long table/chairs for 10 people. The spectacular views from both ends of the porch were amazing. I hired a piano player (keyboard) for happy hour Friday evening and he sat in the corner of the porch playing w the sun setting behind him. You can’t get much better than that! It is a 3 minute walk to the beautiful Lighthouse Beach, that is nestled in a cove w gorgeous sightings of the many boats passing by. Add to all of this, it was Schooner weekend and we watched the schooner parade as well as sailing on the Thomas E. Lannon schooner fireworks cruise Saturday night.
Rockport is only a 15 minute drive as well as Downtown Gloucester w many great restaurants and lobster retail stores.
LOVED Cedar Ledge and Norwood Heights. Just a gorgeous, classy area of Annisquam. And, AVH was a pleasure to work with.
See you next year!

Beautiful home - the location was amazing, and such a unique experience. It was so charming with uninterrupted views of the ocean and bay. The kids had so much fun walking to the beach and just chilling in the house. We would love to come again. The only small complaint is that the clothes dryer wasn't working well - perhaps the exhaust pipe was clogged or the unit needs to be replaced. Thanks for having us!

We have rented this house for July and August for 37 years. The new owners have made some nice improvements to furnishings and plumbing. However, for a house that sleeps 13, the table on the front deck is way too small. Dinner on the deck as the sun sets over the bay is the best. Also, while the kitchen has been updated, there is not enough food storage and the trash and recycling are nice and big but bigger than any standard kitchen trash bags.

Our 36th year here (2nd via AVH). The house was very clean and in great shape. The addition of the outdoor dining table that seats 10 was wonderful (The house sleeps 14) and immediately became the focal point of our evening meals.
