Ware Pond

Marblehead’s Ware Pond is an 8.5-acre conservation area consisting of the pond, which occupies roughly half of the area, and a bordering network of hiking trails, boardwalks, and grasslands. Beyond its beauty, Ware Pond is an important ecological refuge, supporting a rich variety of waterfowl during migratory periods, as well as muskrats, turtles, and a wide variety of plant life. Ware Pond is perfect for hiking day trips, photography, drawing, painting, and more. The area also offers two recently constructed viewing platforms that offer scenic vistas of the pond.

The Conservation area is near Rockaway Road in the Clifton section of Marblehead. Entrances are on Marion Road, Marion Road Extension, Warren Road and the railroad right of way.
