Dramatically suspended above the ocean and enclosed by floor to ceiling bullet-proof glass (to provide protection from the occasional storm-tossed pebble) the guest is treated to spectacular distant views of the Boston skyline on one side and closer views of historic Gloucester and its working harbor on the other.
For some guests, best of all might be the enormous, state-of-the-art kitchen. It is a chef’s dream and a gourmet’s delight featuring among many other amenities a Norwegian soapstone hearth, comfortable sitting area and drop-down 50 inch TV, three dishwashers, two large gas stoves with pot fillers, grills, a dedicated oversize wok, a deep fryer and two warming ovens and warming lights. The kitchen also contains two double sinks with disposals, two 55-gallon trash receptacles (discreetly hidden), a prep sink, a convection/microwave oven, a steam oven, an oversized side by side refrigerator/freezer, wine and separate full size beverage refrigerators and an imported seafood shucking prep sink. The kitchen can accommodate 18+ guests for a sit down meal.
Of course, the spacious and luxurious sleeping areas are in keeping with the overall exceptional quality of the estate. The many suites, some of which are interconnected, feature king, queen bed and single beds and can be arranged to provide privacy for individual families. Among the amenities in the sleeping areas are “ensuite” full baths, a sun room with TV, private decks with spectacular views, and in one instance, both “his” and “her” bathrooms.
