Views of the Atlantic Ocean abound from the deck of this recently remodeled cottage, perched on a bold granite outcropping at the highest point of Briar Neck. A five minute stroll will bring you to Good Harbor, one of Gloucester's finest sandy beaches where you can spend the day swimming, soaking in the sun, or walking at low tide out to picturesque Salt Island. Or, if you prefer, you can enjoy all of this from your large deck and add a few sailboats on the horizon to the view! This four bedroom cottage comfortably accommodates a party of eight. The main level consists of a dining room, living room with fireplace and flat screen TV, new full bath, updated kitchen with laundry (washer/dryer), and a porch. The bedrooms, all but one have views and one bath (tub only) makeup the second floor; don't forget the indoor "beach" shower in the cellar. It's time to write your chapter of happy memories at this wonderful family home.

Our week at Brier Neck Lookout was outstanding! It is a very short walk to Good Harbor beach, Long Beach, and the popular ice cream spot. The views from the large deck with seating for our whole family, from living room with comfortable couches and chairs, and even from the ample bedrooms were breath taking! Our large family spent a great deal of time hanging out on the deck feeling like we were sitting at the beach. The home owners had made available every possible amenity one may have forgotten and left helpful information to make our family vacation the best yet. We are already looking so forward to next year!

Loved this house. Location and view are unbeatable. The deck was awesome and the house was plenty big for 7 adults and one baby. House has charaecter and charm. Extra bonus was enjoying the birds and bunnies that were ALWAYS outside the kitchen window. Very short walk to the beach. We had a great vacation at Brier Neck Lookout.

We have been vacationing at Brier Neck for many, many years and needed to find a new home to rent. We were thrilled with Brier Neck Lookout. The unobstructed view of Salt Island and beyond from the spacious deck and bedroom windows was magnificent. The house was very comfortable and the air conditioning was key during a hot, humid week. This is our 6th year in this location. We have stayed at many other places in Gloucester and this is by far and away the best place we have stayed. The location to Good Harbor beach can't be beat and the outside deck is fantastic as well. We would also recommend Atlantic Vacation Homes to any propospective renter in the area we have always had extremely good customer service with them.
The view is truly a little slice of Heaven. We will return for sure.

Wonderful! We had a great time at the house, with the view and the many rooms. Boiled lobsters twice, and the pots and the cracking instruments were all there. And an easy walk to the best beach - Good Harbor. See you next year.

This was the first summer after renovations and was missing a few things, but we are sure that in the summers to come it will be fully equipped. The views were wonderful of Salt Island.
