Relax and enjoy the wonderful views looking out over Gloucester's beautiful Good Harbor Beach and Thachers Island from this bright and delightfully furnished two bedroom apartment. Both the living room and the master bedroom have sliding doors that open onto a sunny spacious deck with water views, which affords privacy as well. On the deck there is a lounge chair and a table and chairs for al fresco dining. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed while the second bedroom has bunk beds (double on bottom and single on top level). A well-equipped galley kitchen, pleasant full bathroom with tub and shower complete the unit. Outdoors, enjoy the large yard with many beautiful herbs and flowers. The house is conveniently located within a very short walking distance to Good Harbor Beach and to scenic Bass Rocks. It is conveniently located near restaurants, stores, and a laundromat with easy access to Route 128. Please bring a cell phone as there is no land line.

We had another fantastic week at Good Harbor, Garden by the Sea. The property itself has a lovely location, with a comfortable walk to the creek side of Good Harbor. Madeline and Bob are absolutely wonderful hosts - very friendly and available, and very
respectful of our privacy as well. We've been staying at this property for 5 years now (?) and look forward to returning next year!

We were very satisfied with our stay overall. The property was within a short walking distance from the beach. The view of the ocean was like a picture postcard. The DeCicco's were most helpful and friendly. The outdoor grille came in very handy. Lots of large towels were very much appreciated. We would have liked a beach umbrella, but that was unimportant. We would recommend this property to our friends.

This property was perfect for our family of four--we felt at home from our first night. Our daughters slept comfortably in the full and twin bunks, and we enjoyed the privacy of two bedrooms. There are ocean views from the deck and several rooms, and the beach is a short walk away. We cooked full meals most nights in the small but well-equipped kitchen, using the brand new gas grill when the weather cooperated. Our hosts respected our privacy, but were lovely when we bumped into each other. They even brought us scones!

Wished there was a dishwasher and washer & dryer but managed without. We had to leave at 6 am on last day so not having to do laundry was a plus for us. Web site for the property said a beach umbrella was available for use, but Bob (owner) said we could use there's all worked out fine.
Location to good Harbor beach was perfect. Kids really enjoyed this area...

Great place, priced right. Kitchen is too small to do any real cooking, which is a little inconvenient. But i guess that is reflected in the price, which is very reasonable. Internet was down for day and half, which was also annoying, but nothing that REALLY mattered. Bob & Madeliene and Marisa and family are all extremely nice and hospitable.

Everyone at AVH was very helpful. We loved Madeleine, the owner. The location was great except backing out of the driveway could be a little treacherous. The facility was very small but very clean and was well equiped.
Having the beach chairs and beach buggy were awesome!

MY stay as perfect, I was alone for first week and felt very safe. One should know there are a lot of steps going up. Other than that had a view and nice deck, and a view when sitting on the sofa, great corner to read and look out.
